Pine64 Set to Launch StarPro64 Single-Board Computer Featuring RISC-V Processor This Month

Pine64 is poised to launch the StarPro64, a single-board computer featuring a quad-core RISC-V processor and an impressive AI performance capability. The device boasts hardware-accelerated graphics and supports 8K video playback, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
Originally unveiled last fall, the StarPro64 is expected to be available for purchase before the end of April 2025. Details on the release can be found on Pine64’s official website.
The board’s dimensions are 133 x 80 x 19 mm and it includes a PCIe x4 connector, dual Ethernet ports, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, a digital video output, and GPIO headers. Users can equip the StarPro64 with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 onboard memory, and it features a microSD card reader and an eMMC socket for additional storage. Furthermore, the board supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Central to its capabilities is the Eswin EIC7700 processor. This processor includes:
- 4 x SiFive Performance P550 RV64GCC RISC-V CPU cores operating at 1.4 GHz
- Imagination AXM-8-256 GPU
- NPU capable of delivering nearly 20 TOPS of performance: 19.95 TOPS for INT8, 9.975 TOPS for INT16, and 9.975 TOPS for FP16
The StarPro64 is designed to efficiently run AI applications, including the Deepseek 7B LLM. The Eswin processor is also noted for its ability to decode 8K video at up to 50 frames per second and supports 8K video encoding at 25 frames per second.
